AGEBOT - AGressive environment roBOT


The control system for robotic manipulator AGEBOT (aggressive environment Robot) is characterized by a special series-parallel kinematic architecture that has been designed for applications with the need to operate in a chemically aggressive environment. In such cases, you can not use standard commercially available universal manipulators, because it can damage sensitive components robot (electronics, sensors and actuators) in contact with a strong chemistry. Developed manipulator solves this problem with a special parallel spherical wrist with three degrees of freedom, which allows you to put all the sensitive components outside the effector, which leads to Contact Us with chemicals. The actual movement effector is then performed using a system of linear actuators and universal joints. The development was carried out by JKR Eurotec in cooperation with the UWB/KKY.
