CMU Navlab


Subido el 29/01/2008 Video from Carnegie Mellon University documenting the results of the NHTSA-sponsored Run-Off-Road Collision Warning program. The ROR program was a six year effort completed in 1999, that investigated using video cameras, GPS, and digital maps to prevent road departure crashes caused by driver drowsiness, distraction or inattention. It was conducted by faculty, students and staff of the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. The program was led by Dean Pomerleau and Chuck Thorpe. It was conducted using the CMU Navlab robotic vehicles.
