Matsya - Autnomous Underwater Vehicle IIT Bombay from Chintan Raikar
are AUV IITB (Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Team, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay) , a group of students from various disciplines who want to pursue their interest in robotics. This is our first pioneering venture into a new dimension of robotics.
We are undergraduate students at IIT Bombay and are working towards participating at AUVSI Robosub Competition 2013. The competition is held annually in July at San Diego, California. The competition is a platform for industries and students to display their skills in underwater robotics. The competition demands designing and manufacturing of an unmanned autonomous underwater vehicle that performs predefined tasks. It requires complete development of a system by implementing concepts from different streams of engineering namely mechanical, electrical, computer science, aerospace and material sciences.
